Prom and Such...

So, Saturday night was prom, Nikki and I went together, and had a good time. Went there, left at about 9:30, then went back to the house, and hung out for a bit, then crashed. We all woke up at about 8, I took Nikki home after breakfast, and then J and I went to Hannibal for a rock crawlin race. It was fun. Packed us up a lunch and then headed out. Seen one guy flip over and catch on fire, pretty cool, dangerous, but cool. Lol.. everything was takin care of so that was a plus. On the other half of the weekend, it was GREAT! I’ve been off work for about 6 or so days and go back in tomorrow. Pretty excited about that cuz I’m needin the money. Hahaha… getting home today after school, going to try to clean up a lil more around the house, got a bit done yesterday, and then today and tonight will be fun. But what day isn’t? ;-)

Warming up a bit

Hahahaha... so man, we played our little hearts out las night, but man did that ump ever suck! We were ahead, then had a couple bad calls which allowed them to score 3 more runs. J and I drove to Como yesterday for the game, got there, played, then did a little tail-gating afterwards with the family and teamates, then we drove back home...or should I say I did.. HAHAHAHA LMAO! It's another great day, weather started out a little icky, but is looking just a little bit better as we speak. I can tell everyone for a for sure matter that I AM LOVING THIS WEATHER!!! It is perfect fishing weather, in which we need to get out and do. Other than that, also great for yard work and jumping! ;-) Well, I hope everyone else is enjoying the weather, because I know we are!

So, after I got off work on Friday, I went with Nikki to Columbia, and we got our tattoos that we have been wanting.

The symbol we got is a sea turtle. It represents creation which represents our friendship. It was a very special time spent with a very special person!

After Friday, the rest of the weekend was great! Saturday I was off all day, and at 11, we had our first co-ed softball practice, which was interesting! haha... I was a little bit sore on Sunday when I went back to work. But, I'm way better now!

Last night J and I went jeepin. It was awesome... We went up on the grass banks, and a little bit of off roadin'. It was comical. Me, stick, J, 4 wheels!!!! HA... equals pure laughter! lol

Tough Times

Cousin Lacy, Uncle Coach Ron, and Aunt Penny

So, it's been a while since I have blogged. Been pretty busy here lately, well busy enough. HAHA I had Wednesday off, and today off, so that is nice. I have been patiently working on scholarships, and graduation things. It sucks because I was such a procrastinater and it is definetly catching up to me now. I am so totally ready for graduation, BUT I don't like working up to it. haha.. Off the boring stuff for a little bit... Saturday is the first day for softball practice... can't wait for that.. and to get back in the groove of things. Once that is started, it'll last for about 6 weeks. So, that'll keep me busy for a while plus hair school on top of that... But I'm super stoked! ;-)

On the down side, I lost a pretty good buddy of mine yesterday. He was a great guy, but just had a lot on his plate that I guess he just couldn't handle. It's really hard to see people go through those tough times. It makes you wonder if there was anything more that I could have done. He called me two nights ago, just to chit-chat and talk about how life was treating one another. He had promised me things were better, but hard to take his word for that, considering the circumstances. If you think about it, you want to blame God for it all, but how can you do that!? You want to ask him why He would do it, but all you can truly ask is how! How... why so sudden, and why so soon.

I know it was the poor decisions from him, but it's just as if, he didn't learn from the first, second, and third mistakes that he had made. It's hard to come to a conclusion of the thoughts that run through people's minds.

It was just really tough for me being an even small part in his life, but still having those conversations with him, about what goes on.

I do believe that when we face challenges in life that are far beyond our own power, it's an opportunity to build on our faith, inner strength, and courage. I've learned that how we face challenges plays a big role in the outcome of them.

The best way to prepare for life is to begin to live. -Elbert Hubbard
