Last Thursday, Jud came in for a pedicure... and brought awesome news wit him... He got a hotel for the weekend in Lebanon, and we went down to Bennett Springs for opening day of trout season...what is better than that? On our drive down there Saturday morning, we hit some wicked snow, and was driving about 30 on the one-lane highways. We finally got to our hotel, checked in, then drove down to the park to get our fishing tags. We went back, ate dinner, and watched a movie. Woke up on Sunday morning at about 4:45, and was in the park by about 5:45. I ended up catching my limit, and Jud caught his also. My dad and grandpa headed down there early Sunday morning, so we fished with them too. It was almost miserably cold. At about 11, we headed to the park restaurant for bufett breakfast. Then back down for a little bit more fishing. On our way back home, Sunday night, we stopped at The Lake of the Ozarks Outlets for a little bit of shopping. Being since we only had about 10 minutes on Saturday because they were closing early because of the 6 inches of snow... It was an awesome weekend, and it was nice to just get away.
